Hello my dear friends,
April is here which means my son will be here any week now! I’m so beyond excited for this next season of life. I feel immense gratitude for my health, the health of my family, and just where things are at in my life right now.
I put together a list of products and things I have loved during this pregnancy and I’m excited to share them here with you. I feel so lucky to have had such a great pregnancy and I’m manifesting this same kind of energy for birth. I will be putting together a list of postpartum essentials as well a few weeks into my postpartum journey so if that’s something you would be interested in seeing, let me know in my latest instagram post or in the comments below.
Okay, so let’s get into it.
I carry this water bottle around with me everywhere I go! With my last pregnancy, my fluid levels got really low and I almost had to be induced. Thankfully, I was able to correct the issue and have a healthy natural birth but because of that experience, I have been STRICT on my water consumption. I love this water bottle because it tracks your water intake throughout the day and you get to read little motivational quotes every time you go to drink it. I highly recommend getting something like this so that you can stay accountable. It’s so easy to go all day without a sip of water when it’s not in your face, not to mention pregnancy brain can have you forgetting things so easily, am I right? You don’t have to guess with this water bottle which is why I love it so much.
I started taking the Foundation prenatal when I was about 15 months postpartum with my daughter. I not only noticed a huge difference in my mood and energy levels, but my milk supply increased as well and I was able to breastfeed my daughter for a few more months. I have been taking them ever since and I absolutely love them and would recommend them to anyone. They are clean, whole-food plant-based, bioavailable, and medical grade. Included in the foundation prenatal is:
I reached out to Sakara about getting a discount code for you guys and they said YES. They are giving you 20% off your first purchase when you use the code XOCHELSEAB.
Full disclosure: This is not a promotional post. I have no affiliation with this app whatsoever, I just really love it! With my last pregnancy, I didn’t sleep well at all. I tossed and turned throughout the night a ton! With this pregnancy, I am sleeping like a baby. It’s a night and day difference from my first pregnancy and I feel like this app has a lot to do with it. If you have a hard time falling asleep or you’re just not sleeping very well, try this app. There are so many options to choose from even on the free plan. If you don’t want to go through all of the sounds, you can try the exact mix I listen to every single night. Here it is. I like simple fan noises, zen/nature, and dreamy vibes. If this sounds like you, you’ll love my mix.
This is a product my doula recommended to me during my last pregnancy and it works wonders. It’s made from all-natural and organic ingredients and it smells so good. It’s a little on the oily side but my skin eats it up. I’m so dry this pregnancy and this product has been a lifesaver for avoiding stretchmarks.
This holistic tea blend is my go-to drink for getting my body ready for birth. The owner crafted this special blend for her own pregnancy and drank it almost every single day during her 2nd and 3rd trimester. I know about High Garden because they used to have a store walking distance from my old house in East Nashville. They had the DREAMIEST store you’ve ever seen but sadly in 2020 a tornado hit and destroyed their store so now they do everything online. Supporting them means a lot to me because I’ve experienced firsthand the magic that High Garden tea house is. If you’ve been there, you know exactly what I’m talking about. I love that they only purchase ethically wildcrafted, organic, safe, and naturally grown herbs, and I also love their attention to earth conscious packaging. They are truly the BEST. You must check them out!
I did hypnobabies with my daughter and loved the entire experience. I feel like it really helped me with breathing exercises, staying calm, and seeing birth in a really powerful and positive light. My training was during Covid so everything was online but I still feel like I got a lot from it. I loved the meditation tracks SO MUCH and have used them during this pregnancy as well. Meditation has helped me tremendously during this pregnancy. I feel so much more grounded, excited, and prepared for birth.
Finding a clean/pregnancy-safe makeup brand while you’re pregnant can feel overwhelming at first especially if you don’t know where to look. I tried a few clean brands but ilia was by far my favorite. I bought the super serum skin tint spf 40 and I have used it pretty much my entire pregnancy. If you’re looking for something super lightweight on your skin, this is your product! I also love their mascara and lip moisturizer.
Nuuly is perfect for the earth-conscious mama who wants to be stylish but also not spend a TON of money on clothes that they will only wear for 9 months. I love Nuuly because they carry so many popular brands and you can pick and choose which styles you want to get in the mail every single month. Coming from a very fast fashion background with modeling, I love supporting clothing brands that care about sustainability. It makes me feel good and it’s something I’m being a lot more intentional about these days. It’s such an easy process. You order the clothes online and then they show up to your door in a reusable bag with a prepaid lable already ready to go so that as soon as you’re done, you ship them back in the same bag, and then Nuuly alerts you when you’re ready for your next shipment. It’s wonderful!
Jacqueline Piotaz is a luxury plant-based skincare line based out of Switzerland. I learned about Jacqueline Piotaz through the Carillon Miami Wellness resort a couple of weeks before I got pregnant. I bought some of her skincare after I had the most amazing facial at the spa and let me just say WOW you guys, this skincare line is truly next level. She uses stem cell cultivation technology that allows her to use the purest form of the plant when creating her products. Her products are all 100% free of pesticides, fertilizers, environmental pollutants and more which I know you’ll appreciate. I am currently using the alpine radiance line and I love it so much. It feels like silk on my skin and I do genuinely feel like my wrinkles aren’t as noticeable as they were before. I wish I had a coupon to share with you all. For now though, you can get 20% off when you subscribe to her mailing list.
I have tried so many different brands when it comes to leggings and I’m telling you guys these are just the best! They don’t slide down like many other brands do. They are also very flattering and the most comfortable leggings I’ve tried. I love how they keep everything tucked in! My belly feels extremely supported and protected. You can do yoga, pilates, go for walks, you name it…you’ll feel great in these. They are pricey but so worth it. You can shop on amazon or directly from their website. Their website has a ton of more options to choose from. https://www.blanqi.com.
If you’ve been following me on social media, you know I’m very passionate about juicing. I’m guessing you are too! There have been so many times during this pregnancy where I didn’t really have an appetite for greens. Being able to throw all of my greens in a juicer and drink fresh green juice has made all of the difference in the world in my energy levels and how I feel overall. It’s also just such an easy way to incorporate more vitamins and nutrients into your day, especially if you’re feeling nauseous and don’t have much of an appetite. To fight nausea early on in my pregnancy, I juiced a little bit of ginger and lemon and it helped with the nausea so much. I personally love this brand because they make the whole juicing process a breeze. If you’re new to juicing and want to learn more about it, I have a free juice guide and I’d love for you to check it out! Here it is.
Okay holistic mama’s, there you have it! That’s the list. Thank you so much for reading and if you have any holistic products that you personally love, please share them with us in the comments below.
